I'm not even gonna fuck around with it at all anymore. Thats the worst Ive ever seen my car run, Im just gonna take this as a sign and get a new gasket and slap the stock one back on.

dough, expect shit like that to happen bro! all you have to do is pray for the best, and expect the worst. just go back get a new im, and see if that fixes your problems. if not put the stock on back on, and move on.

yea dude, when ur working on ur car nothing goes right, its murphy's law man. just go back get what u need, deal with the frustration, and get ur car running the way it used to. trust me, this wont be the last time something fucks up ur day off when it involves ur car.

Thats it for this motor, I still have the FPR coming in, and thats simple to do and that will be installed. But as far as changing out anymore bolt ons within the motor, Im done. Until I have a new toy to play with under there that is. Brett told me these are one of the hardest cars to deal with in the intake manifold aspect, and im not the first or last horror story. The main issue is the fitment for the stock one fits so well and snug, and by increasing the size of the manifold your bolts closer in making them hit the ports. You should always check your room and how much you have to play with when buying parts.. If i did so, I could have saved myself and my friend a good 7 hours of in and out labor. BTW I'll have pics up tonight everybody.. Sit tight for this one. |

First and foremost.. What should have been, but didnt happen
![]() The are of where the bolt was rubbing.. Really hard to see, and photshop still wasnt doing it for me.. ![]() The Hi Flow Cat I've been talking about.. ![]() ![]() A view of it straight through... (Evillaugh!) And a little break to ease the mind.. ![]() Overall It didnt take long to get everything back on, Im still having a tiny idle issue and im not sure of where to look exactly.. If anyone has a clue why my idle would be a bit jumpy throw your ideas out there. |

Idle is jumpy...could be a vacuum leak, from the manifold not being tight or TB not being tight. Did you reuse gaskets or replace them after taking off the OBX manifold? It could also be the IACV possibly...

Not the one at the throttle.. we didnt silicone that one and it looked straight. The other one yeah, I think the bolts need better tightening.
