Ok I had a thread recently in Civic Coupe thread.. Now the parts have been ordered.

Intake manifold / Gaskets
Fuel Pressure Regulator

and A High flow Cat = the bitch problem.. The flange is welded over and the reasoning for this is the previous owner went aftermarket and did a cheap job of it, as for the converter on the car now it would need changed from the stock flange to one that fits the High flow cat..wtf? My question is, I live in CA smog is a bitch, cops are fags...My choices are to have it all welded and fitted, Or return it to the guy since he is pretty cool about it and just go with the AEM Fuel Rail?

The Cat means more of a gain, with no tuning needed... But would I be able to get by when it comes to cops? Im not sure how loud these things are. I never had one before.

Current setup:
4-1 header
Sri intake
Intake Manifold
exhaust

Keep in mind I have the chance to give it back with credit and go for another bolt on, any suggestions.. or info on the converter..I'd really like to keep it, but If the flange is made differently I cant convert back and forth between my stock and this for the track.

First of all, I think the fuel rail is a waste of money...you have no need for it. As for the cat, your post kinda confused me. Is the cat that is on your car welded to the exhaust, or the flange on the cat you bought the wrong one?

The flange is in the back of of the stock cat.. They welded the bolts so i cant take it off. Only from the header I can remove the bolts.

The Hi Flow Cat i bought is actually the correct one, The bitch at this exhaust shop didnt wanna work on my car being its illegal for them to tamper with non CARB products.

So... Im gonna go back and ask them to weld a new flange onto the piping so I can use either the stock, or Hi flow converters as I need them. I did read up and its the right converter that I bought. But how much should a new flange to be welded on run me?

i would think the new flange plus labor would be less than 100 bucks. so essentially what ur saying is the exhaust u have on now, greddy evo, is welded directly to ur stock cat?

Like I said on IM, you're gonna have to get it cut off, have a flange welded onto the B-pipe, and one onto the cat you are running now, so you can drive home. No shop in CA will install a non CARB exempt part...it's their ass if they get caught.

update:

the intake manifold was a disaster.. took it all out which took an hour and a half and we get the blingy horror in there and what do ya know? the fuckin bolt on the upper passenger side would not meet with the thread correctly.. (bad welding on the manifold..

Hoping for the best but expecting the worst we kept going and finsihed.. started the car and it idled from 1000 rpm to 2500 rpm.. then repeated. Look under the car and portion of where we couldnt get the gasket all the way down was spittin coolant everywhere..

So yay, my fuckin daily driver is throwing up and Idling like its on crack.. Tomorrow i gotta go in there with a friend and either retrieve a new high performance manifold or just put the stock one back..

So theres my wonderful day off after a 7 day workweek.

oh btw didnt get to work under the car yet.. should take care of that in a couple days. Im still trying to remain optimistic after the ordeal today.
