the head is a 99 i believe. from what ive researched the 96+ GSR heads had the same LMA's as ITR. i dont think ill have a problem ...

the IM or the velocity stack? and yea the VS is nice, should go nice with the build

mini update... got the block up on the engine stand and completely disassembled. just waiting on a little cash so i can go to the machine shop and get it bored/honed/hot tanked. then the assembly begins

block back from the machine shop. and z10 plug installed. misc other unnecessary holes plugged. notice the repaierd hole. cylinders are nicely bored/honed =)







pistons installed, bearings installed


checking clearances. can see the repair again.


on the money =)


oil squirters about to be installed. ive heard a few stories of these bad boys backing out, just ask B16 mike. loctite should prevent that =)


all installed


everything lubed up, ready for final assembly


mains, rod end caps, and crank girdle installed. also oil pump, water pump and rear main seal, and finally windage tray.






pistons in their new home




and where i ended for the day. ARP headstuds installed on the block. looks sick.


im hesitant to install the head just yet. since i still need to transport the engine back to my place in baltimore before i can install it. and with my apt being on the 2nd floor it might be better to just wait to put the main pieces together afterwards.

got the longblock pretty much done. no assembly pics cause my camera is fucked but i borrowed my brothers for the final pics
