nice Ian! gj.... what a clean head you have there. You should take that motor to a car wash and pressure wash it to clean it up a little... or paint it seafoam green h34r:

i hope it wasnt hot tanked..you know the chemicals used in hot tanking are known to weaken aluminum...Nice build...looks like good clearance on the bearings...The only thing i would have done different i would have gone with a smoother RA one the block and the head...we use about 25-30ra on our motors..that looks about 80

ra is the smoothness of the surfacing....the lower the number the smoother it is...on a mls gasket you need the deck and the surface of the head to belike glass to get the best seal...although i guess it matters more on turbo charged carst han it does on all motor.

the head IS like glass. its so smooth its rediculous. the block i was kinda sketchy about, but its very smooth as well. the flash kinda brings the markings out a bit.

the block was hot tanked, i dont expect any issues from it.

ive bought a couple hundred more dollars worth of parts from the dealer. random things really.

i checked p-v clearances (well more like i checked the most aggressive cam settings i could go with and still retain my min p-v clearance) ill get the last batch of parts in from the dealer by wednesday and ill have it it completely assembled hopefully.

il get more pics soon
