I have a 93 civic ex five speed. I blew the engine a few weeks ago and now im putting in a new one. So far i have added a aem v2 intake, pacesetter headers, custom exhaust with 2.5 piping, edelbrock intake manifold, stage 3 clutch with flywheel, new zex camshaft, springs, and titanium retainers, sohc adjustable cam gear. Can anyone guess around how much hp im pushing out this lil 4 cylinder? I plan on running it naturally with no turbo or nos until after winter here in chicago so what do ya'll think.

throw on a gsr throttle body and tune it, you could make 120-140 depending on health of motor and tuner

You do have a lot to learn. Most stock d series motors are around 100hp to the ground. With intake, header, cam, intake manifold, and tuning there can be about 20 to 25 hp which is still a 20 to 25 percent increase. Most b16s are around 130 or so, so you still will have respectable setup. If you do a throttle body, an h22 tb is larger than a type r or gsr and can be bought for less due to the fact that the demand for h stuff is less.

justa correction...the type r tb is the biggest one made...its a 62mm while the h22 is a 60mm. just because the motor is bigger doesnt mean the tb is.

You are right, I was thinking of the type s tb, which is the same as a type R (62mm). The h22 is the same size as the gsr which is 60mm. Either way it can usually be bought for less, but you need to run an external MAP sensor in most cases.

just would like to say hybrid coupe98, nice job on the BF2 stats, but the accuracy needs to be better... jk nice job i play alot, my name on it is FRAGRANTSARDINES....

what are your plans...That should dictate what motor you go with. You want a torque monster..stick an h22 in there...its expensive, but its a pretty good swap. B18 or b16 is probably the easiest swap with a decent power increase...zc is still d series. many people on here have done motor swaps, and the common swap i've seen is the b18c5, or the b18c1. It all depends on what you're looking for, and what you have to spend?

shoulda taken the opportunity to drop a b18 in there when you blew the engine. that alone will provide the same IF NOT MORE horsepower than all the mods you've currently done.
