agreed with all the others with the swap
I have a d16 also with cai and exhaust and the pull is ok but to really get something out of these cars a swap is best or boost and build hard on that single v my friend has a eg hatch with a b16 that runs like beast with simple mods but it does cost money |

Well for a start you want to get the intake and exhaust taken care of. Try to find a 4-2-1 header that has piston 1 and 3 together and 2 and 4 together. This provides a suction to pull the exhaust right when it exits the piston. Then you'll have to look at spending about $200- $400 for a port and polish so the air will flow better through the head. More power is, more air + more fuel+ more compression. If your not going turbo you might just look at higher compression pistons. Or youcould do it the easy way and get a haynes manual on import performance. Good luck

I would recommend getting a sk2 stage 2 cam and valvetrain kit, port and polish, bigger injectors, and a bigger intake manifold. You'll have to get it tuned but you'd be sitting around 180-200 hp depending on your parts. That'll get you more air into the engine therefore getting you higher compression.
