Hey, I was just wondering, is it really necessary to but the valve springs and retainers for a single cam upgrade. Its a street cam made for lightly modded engines and says it produces about 25 hp for my d16y8. Think I'd be able to go without? Or should I spend another 3 to 400 for the springs and retainers. I can buy the springs and retainers separately, so buying one or the other is an option too. Thanks
