anyone familiar with the Greddy SP catback exhaust? a buddy of mine tells me it sounds pretty good.. i dont want loud, and i want to get rid of my 17's. go for somwhat a sleeper look. my family is starting a new business, and i am planning on buying another car in the summer. my heart is set on a 3SGTE MK2 MR2 at the moment. anyhow, i guess what im saying is that i want the civic to be as reliable, and comfortable as possible wh ile performing well. so i think what i need sould include the following: catback exhaust, high flow cat, clutch/flywheel, HX wheels, and coilovers. sounds easy enough.

well it says you have a cold air already and a header
so how bout a FPR? added fuel pressure would not hurt the vtec controller is out... just for tuning like comutek said hi-flow cat is not really needed if you stayin NA... try the intake manifold along with the FPR would work good with a ported head what would the coilovers do for you? just to lower it a bit but dont think you will get better traction or something under drive pulley set wouldn to hurt either... but dont think you will be getting 15hp either... lil by lil... it adds up |

get a civic type r intake cam ($250) that is the best mod for the money IMO, if you can afford skunk2 stage one then get those, a FPR ($75), 14 or 15 inch rims and tires, a good clutch ($250), skunk2 or type r intake manifold ($250), tune your ECU, and you should be doing high 14's all day long all motor. Pretty much it will cost you another $1,200 to drop that second if not a little more. But try getting rid of those rims or put your stock tires in the front and get the intake cam and the clutch and you should see low 15's soon.

well, this is a really old post. but since ive posted this i have finished my exhaust. (ie, greddy sp and a test pipe). my clutch still is bad. i am going to buy a fidanza flywheel and a clutch as my next mods. i honestly believe a 14 second run shouldnt be a problem. the 15.8 second run was on stock wheels w/ cooper trendsetter tires. terrible tires. i can spin these tires all day long now. (i put the steelies back on for winter) even on a bad clutch they will just lose traction. i really dont see anything in my way after the clutch and flyweel. EXCEPT my track experience. it will be my 2nd time.

you need to learn how to launch. Technique called feathering...or you could always get a 2-step ignition and use that for launching...but you would be going through axles like crazy

Holy fawwwk . . . Dane!!!
"-comptech test pipe: $125 on some website." Bro - I make "test pipes" for my friends at work out of high quality polished stainless steel for about a 3rd of that!!! If you are serious about that part, go to a muffler shop / car garage and just have it made!!! You'll have enough left over for something you really need!!! ![]() lates. |

:werd: We only use the highest grade s/s out there and we're getting $20.00 per ft. for it.
Add in the flanges, weld time and you're def. under 50 bones! ![]() |
