What does everyone feel is a better exhaust?
I'm looking for a good quality exhaust that will give me nice gains, but I don't want it to be too loud. I drove my friends Civic w/ an Evo and was nice and quiet until I got on the throttle. I hear the N1 is loud unless the sound depresser is in, but that cuts away from the power? How hard is it to put this piece in and remove? I really like the angled muffler look so I'm leaning towards the N1, but the police are realling cracking down on exhaust laws and pulling everyone over. What's everyones suggestion? |

I like the N1, it's what I have. I like the looks and sound better than the Evo, and the fact that you can put in a silencer if you choose to.

i don't think the evo or N1 is loud enough for a ticket but i guess it depends on where you are.

To be honest, you will be happy either way you go. I like the greddy because of the deeper tone that it has. The evo also fits really well and doesn't hang down very far. I still went with the N1 and love it. It does hang pretty low especially on a lowered car. It also has issues of being really close to the gas tank and rattling since Apexi tried to keep bends to a minimum.

if your really wanted a soft note, you could get the mugen twin loop. i have the rip off by mozart, and i already really like it. it's almost too quite sometimes, but it's got such a deep note. one of these days i'll scrape together enough money to get the real thing, which i'm sure is 10 times better.

i'd go for the greddy, I have heard them on the 02 si's and they give the car a nice growl!
and the few apex n1 that I have seen/heard are a bit too loud. thats my .02 --este |

I like the N1 that's why I have one but on a lowered car you'll find your self scraping it on speed bumps and what not or at least I do. Never heard about anything like that on the evo though

I've got a 98 Sedan and I'm debating exhaust kits too... I like the GReddy EVO but the N1 with the angled muffler is pretty fresh...
