Getting ready to buy a honda civic Vp, cause the price is good. But, I was wondering if you are able to install power locks and power windows since it doesn't come with them. any hope?

Yes, but it's most likely about the same price and a hell of a lot easier to get the dealer to install it. If it's used, you can always find door panels from an EX or use aftermarket kits. I used SPAL kits, and they've been working fine.

yea, i hate being on a budget, but i need a new car, and something i can appreciate, so a new civic was gonna be my project, and 13,900 is a hella good price for a new civic...i was also told to start upgrading until after the warranty is done, which would be 3 damn years. duno, just need some insight to what my decision on a new car would be.

i think it's inbetween DX and LX..the older VP civics (96-00) came debadged with the exception of the H emblem

I did the SPAL kit too (doors only) off of ebay for like $22 and they work great. Hooked right to my alarm and only took about an hour per door.
I haven't done the windows yet, and probably won't cause I don't really care about it but I've seen them for around $70 on ebay. Some sellers do a package deal to for a little cheaper. I hear autoloc is supposed to be pretty good too. |

when my alarm was installed on the dx they added power locks for $20/door. really cheap IMO but who knows what grade parts they used.
