Hey I'm looking to buy a civic and I've talked a dealer into 11900 for the following vehicle:

Year/Make/Model: 2002 HONDA CIVIC LX
Body Style: SEDAN 4 DR
Engine: 1.7L L4 SOHC PFI 16V
Fuel: GASOLINE
Driveline: FRONT WHEEL DRIVE
Manufactured in: UNITED STATES
Safety Equipment: Dual front air bags/active (manual) belts
Standard Equipment: Power Windows, Power Steering, Air Conditioning, AM / FM Cassette, Power Brakes, Tilt Wheel

Is this a good buy or do you think I can get the dealer to go lower?

Thanks,

Depends because that doesnt include the tax and registration from what It sounds like. I would actually look around a little more myself. Not a bad price but you might actually find a better price somewhere else. Always shop for the best price if you already havent.

from looking @ kbb i wound't pay more than 11k, maybe something like 10.5k. hit up autotrader.com, most of those 02s will still be under warranty so buying from a private party might be a good way to go.

I agree^^^. I don't ever buy from dealers. You pay so much extra for their crappy warranty which doesn't cover anything that will go wrong during the period anyways. EVERYTHING that has a problem they somehow can find a way to say it's not covered!!! Besides, if you have an issue, learn to fix it- that's what we're here for!

aaron's right. go by kbb. the price is only like 3k cheaper than a brand new civic lx, but it's got a lot of miles for only being a 2002. The manufacturer's waranty is up in 550 miles so you'd have to get what ever warranty they sell you.
