I'm having a bit of a problem with my intermittent wiper on my 94 civic sedan. When I switch my wiper to intermittent, it swings once as it normally does but the next cycle would take like forever, probably 5 minutes which should only be 5 seconds. But once it does it would operate normally swinging every 6 to 7 seconds.
I know that I should have it check by Honda but it takes a very long time to que and some of you guys might have a suggestion. By the way, am I right, the intermittent control unit is at back of the fuse box(holder). Thats where I hear and feel the click when it activates.
Is there an adjustment for this and how can I remove the control unit If I need to replace it. Been trying to but having a hard time. Is it plugged in the fuse box or screwed in
Appreciate any input, TNX

my repair manual says to first check all wiring, and make sure you have a strong battery charge. (i'm sure you checked this already).
It mentions that if the interval function is inoperative, check the continuity of all the wiring between the switch and integrated control unit. If the wiring is OK, have the intergrated control unit checked by a dealership or properly equipped repair facility. And then it goes on to explain how to replace the wiper motor, but that doesn't seem to be your problem. Also it doesn't explain how to remove the integrated control unit. Bah! sorry man!
