Hi,

I'm about this pick up a Silver 1998 Honda Civic EX Coupe 5-Spd with 84,000 miles for $5500 at a local dealership. (Is that a good price?)

The only problems the car has is:

1. Headlights inner paint (chrome) is chipping
2. OEM Intake is gone
3. Driver side seat has a rip (Dealer is replacing it)
4. One huge scratch on the windshield (Dealer is replacing)
5. And no removable carpets.
6. Throttle Body Sensor plug (at least I think it is)
Here is a picture of the part I need: (anybody with a part number or name of part please help):

The car has the black piece that's affixed to the throttle body, I just need the plug... And I need to know where it goes.

I'm doing a 99-00 Front End swap with the car. I have all the parts necessary for the swap from a previous lease I had.

Thanks for all the help.

yea, thats the map sensor, but he says he has the actual sensor, he just needs the 'plug'.
Sax, that should be part of the wiring harness, if its not there, then it must have been cut off. The car has to be throwing a cel right?

yeah it's throwing a CEL.

Isn't it a plug? I just need that gray portion and the wiring that's attached.

I thought the wire was a sensor that hooks up to the intake.

Addictionbass - I know what you're talking about now... So basically someone cut that wire off from the car's main wiring harness right?

Alright, if that plug directly goes into the car's main wiring harness than all I have to do is find the end that came off from the gray plug. I have a feeling now that I saw that gray portion still attached to the map sensor. Hopefully I can find the end of the wiring that goes to that plug, place the wire back into the gray plug and hope no check engine light comes on. Even with this problem I still find $5500 a good deal. That's off course if I can find the other end of the wire.

Thanks everyone.

Thanks guys I appreciate the help.

The wiring is there and all that's missing is the Intake temp sensor. Dealer ordered one and I'm set.

mx - if you want to get rid of it I'll be more than happy to take it. It would be great to get another one if the one my dealer orders is wrong.

Give you $2 for priority shipping?

on a side note, does anyone have a stock intake for a 96-00 EX D16y8 that they are willing to give away? I'll pay for shipping through Priority Mail so I can drive the car home.

I don't need the resonator, just the pipe and airbox.

Thanks,
Kenneth

I bought it about 2-3yrs agou from my sedan but never installed it and just last week I decided to throw it away.
sorry and good luck!!

Yeah it's a coupe... Dealer showed me his invoice of how much he paid ($4700) at an auction and he wanted to make at least $1000... So with some persistence he gave it to me for $5500 plus an additional $100 to replace the windshield which had a scratch on it.

I actually wanted a '94-'96 Integra GS-R but every time I found one it was either ridiculous priced or modded... Hopefully I can swap out the engine in a few months for a B-Series. Now I just need the $...
