As usual, I have done a search but cannot find the answer to my question.
Money is tight right now. I have 1 ITR cam. I have a B16 head. Can I mix cams? The ITR cam is an intake cam? So could I use the ITR intake cam with the B16 exhaust cam and I would I see a difference? Any feedback is appreciated. |

you could use both.. and it would work.. im not sure about the conditions on releaseing the exhuast with a smaller exahust stroke on the b16 ...
IMO save your money and dont be cheap... You'll just kick yourself down the road. |

Like eric siad it will work, But i'm not sure for how long and how affective it's going to be. Just wait unitl you have the cash and put a full set in the head.

Hey Calesta wouldn't that create more backpressure, you have more air entering the combustion chamber and that larger amount of air is trying to escape through the smaller exhaust stroke, so if I am correct it will work and not only will it work but that added backpressure just might help you out.

It'll be like the SOHC VTEC- the D16Z6 and D16Y8 only change the intake cam profile in VTEC, and the exhaust stays the same. You'll still get more performance because you're breathing in more air. Backpressure is crap.
