hey people hoping you can help me figure this one out on my 94 civic si. when ever i hit high rpm's4-7000 sometimes my gears grind into place, when i'm shifting. its also really hard sometimes to even shift gears or even down shift. this all started happening when i put my 17" rims on. i got the proper rubber size "205-40-17" so the diameter stayed the same. does anybody know what could be causing this???? please help my gears are slowly grinding away.............

Yeah ,i don't think it would have ANYTHING to do with your rims and tires.

Nope deffinatly not the rims and tires. Its internal in the tranny, Syncros and you posibly bent the shift fork. Been there done that. It sucks. Be ready to spend about a G to get it fixed.

probably not a bent shift fork...Sounds to me like the synchros are bad...if its every gear clutch/pressure plate, being that you got big rims and tires on there now, your probably stressing the clutch more...especially if its stock. Short throw shifters also cause your synchros to wear prematurely. just a few thoughts to keep in mind.
