well...its hard on synchros, people tend to miss gears more...all the turbo cars we build use stock shifters

i'm not really sure what a short shifter has to do with your grinding gears.. maybe your not used to it and jam it in dumping the clutch too fast?

a short shifter doesn't make yoru tranny grind

I personally don't like them...get yourself a GSR shifter and call it a day IMO.

i used to do that on my 96 back in the day, mainly, youre getting too excited, so dont worry and try to get used to the new shifting, the shifter's throw is a lot shorter so im guessing the gear engages sooner than before (correct me if I'm wrong).

Ummm...If you are having issues with a short shifter I would suggest easing up a little. Are you pulling hard thru the gears? Clutch control bad? What arent you telling us?

I?ve had a short throw shifter in my 98 civic and I have never had any problems, I also installed one on my friends 2000 ex and he also doesn?t have problems. Maybe it?s your clutch? Try rev matching.
