i need help with my mini-me swap. I got my 88 civic hb dx swapped sohc d16z6. but the distributor was modified to work with the ecu, but i want to change the ecu and the distributor. but i dont know which ones match. i know the p28 ecu from a 92-95 civic would work with a 92-95 distributor. would that work without any modifications?any suggestions?

a p28 will run any distributor...except obd0(which im sure it can but i wouldnt do it) IT all depends on what wiring harness you need. what seems to be the issue your having thats causing this decision to change dizzy's?

The only thing we need to know is what wiring harness are you using, both in car and in the engine bay, because the ECU and distributor need to match the generation of wiring harness. NON OBD, OBD I, and OBD II harnesses all have different ECU pigtails and Distributor plugs.

So just get the ECU and Distributor that match your harness, if you have a 92-95 harness then the answer to your question is yes, both will work with NO modifications.

Sorry to hijack here, but I am gonna do a mini me also and the head I got is a D16Y8 off a 1996 civic, and its gonna go on my D16Y7 block that I have in my 1997 del sol. What wiring can I use to make everything work? Can I just take all the wiring off of the Y8? and have it run right? Also, what ECU do I need, I have a 5spd and the donor car is an auto....figured its kinda relevant info.
