Again, I've got 3 different answers. So what does "Honda" truly recommend for a B16? Is it 4, 4.2 or 5?

for a b16 i believe its 4 as with an ls, the gsr and type r both hold 5. like he said though...put 4 in...start the car...let it warm up, shut it off...let the oil drain...like2 or 3 minutes and check the dipstick.

I have a Integra Helms manual and it states 4.0 for the b18b and 4.2 for the b18c. When looking through service manuals for transmission fluid capacity at out local Honda service department, I checked oil levels on the d16 and b16a3 and it stated 4.0

Putting in 5+ quarts on a honda is retarded. Put in 4 quarts, it will get you to the full mark...there's no need to go over that. I'm surprised the dealership mechanics said to put in 5+...it makes me a little sketchy on what they know about more complicated work. If they told you to torque your head bolts to 50 ft/lbs when the manual said 66 ft/lbs, would you listen to them?
