I Picked up my drivers side mount today(99-00si). The one that mounts onto the block itself. my question is how the hell do i remove the gold colored studs or bolts which are on the old mount(96 teggie).
(im not sure what they're called)

OK i just had to do this (had to take the ones of the stock LS mount and put them in the SI mount.) The only way i was able to do it was with a pair of vise grips. Clamp them on really tight and start tugging on them. they shouldn't be that hard to do. Make sure you leave the mount on the block then use the grips. Then put the new mount on the block and screw the studs intot he new mount.

just go out and buy a stud remover, they sell em at sears for like 5 bucks. ill see if i can get a pic for u but i havent found em on the site. i have like 40 of em at work and they supposedly work ok. try it out. if not just say you didnt like it and return that shit, but with the reciept cuz no reciept equals no return now. its a new policy

OHHHHH those studs are nothing, if you have air do this...
-Get a 1/2 inch impact (even an electical one will do the trick even if you dont have air) -Take the nut the goes onto the stud, zip it down onto the stud all the way and tighten it as much as possible (this is also gonna break any rust, debris, and what not keeping the stud in there) -Then loosed, if the stud doesnt come out with it, keep tightening and loosening until it does, once the stud finally does come out, put it in a vice and get the nut off..

Alright, it looks like i have a couple of diff. options. I'll try the vice grips on the bottom of the stud so i don't damage the threads. thanks much guys
