CAI are just fine. As long as you use common sence. I've been running one for yearrs and never had any problems. When i know i'm goniot run though a huge puddle i just turn the car off and coast thru it then turn the car back on. No big deal. As long as you not driving thru water thats higher then your hub don't even worry about it. the 6th gen design is awsome. The filter sits in the bumper covered up99% by the umper and the wheel wheel insert. I've never seen a drop of water/rust on my filter ever.

werd, I have a 5th gen though, but mine is buried about a good 6-7 inches up inside my bumper, And I threw a bypass on. Along with my rubber debris guard on the bottom being gone. I tore up real bad and I never replaced it.
So far so good.. As long as you know hydrolocking is possible you wont be a tard and make any dumb moves. People who dont know about it much are the ones to screw themselves by driving through puddles.
