hey guys
my car will not start i thought the problem was fixed, i replaced the dizzy cap and the rotor and put new plugs and wires and i thought it was fixed it ran for about 50 miles and then quit on me and i had to get it towed, after the car was dropped off which was about an hour and a half after it broke down the dizzy itself was extremly hot i couldn't touch it my question is would it be the dizzy or maybe some kind of relay or fuse and where would they be it is a 1997 ex coupe the car has 160,000 miles, i checked the timing, and it is getting fuel, the CEL didn't come on before the car died any help would be great thanks ![]() |

this is the right spot. you will find alot of help here. i had a similar problem with a 91 dx hatch i had. my problem turned out to be the dist rotor. i have had problems like this with other vehicles but usually end up as vacum leaks. sometimes, however, the computer will put out a code without the service light coming on. i'am sure someone else could also give you more specific info on what to check. keep checking back and also post in the other tech forums.

Check your grounds, battery charge etc.. Kind of hard to pinpoint these issues without seeing the car firsthand.
