If you run the P2P ECU and wire everything up, then yes you should actually make a bit more power than the Y8 engine. Just think of it this way- you gain that power, and you can still install the boltons for even more gains.

Sure, I think it would be worth it- just make sure you don't cut corners. Other people will tell you to swap an engine before spending that kind of money on a D, but think of it this way- with the money you spend on the conversion, you're getting a refreshed engine. You can rebuild yours with new parts and make sure that everything inside is in good condition- something that's not guaranteed with a used engine swap.

Go for it.

i obviously would have to wire my car for vtec....could you briefly explain what kind of work needs to be done with this? i looked around on some of the teh forums and stuff and couldnt find exactly the shit that i would need unless i just didnt look hard enough...so what all parts would i need to do this? i just want to try to look around and find everything and compile a parts list-price total so i can make a decision. it would be ALOT of help. thanks.
