ok I may be buying a 88 civic HB ,5 spd, new clutch and the motor just got replaced with oe from a '91 civic' for $950.
My questions are if this motor is not a D16a6 (I would like a Si motor for more power) how much would it cost for a new one??? or should I get a different motor to put in it? if so how much would that cost? and where could I find motors to buy? I don't have a very big budget right now about $2,000 total minus buying the car. P.s. Canadian dollar |

hmotorsonline.com, or passowrdjdm.com
Look for a Zc motor (SOHC or DOHC) or another d16a6 |

You can get a DOHC ZC shipped to you for the amount of money you have left after buying the car... and everything will bolt right up. You just have to reverse the TPS lines and rewire for 4 injectors (MPFI).
