Ok, so I'll admit I'm still a semi-noob to turbo, but I've been reading for half a year everything I can. Well, so far my engine has 95k miles on it, and it burns oil (about a quart every two months). Now, I want to do a compression/leakdown test to make sure it's good, but where would I have this done? Also, what do you guys think could be causing the burning oil? The previous owner didn't take very good care of the car... but if I were to go turbo, would the burning oil hurt it? I'm assuming I'd have to fully rebuild the engine... lots of questions i know, but that's how ya learn best.

You can take the car anywere to get it tested. Or better yet just go to your local auto store and by a compresion tester and do it your self. If your burning oil, I'm going ot say that your piston rings are shot. And in this case putting a turbo on a car with bad rings is just going to make it worse. Rebuild is always a good idea.

They might do it, But if you really plan on going turbo the tester is only like $20, and it will come in handy alot once you are boosted when problems start acuriing. But AZ might do it i son't see why not.
