i think all of you need to chill the fuck out.
telling the kid in a nice way to search is one thing. i'd tell you all to fuck off too if you were flaming me and being rude. way to insure new members stay.

The hell with that!! When it was obvious that this kid knew NOTHING and i said he needed to do more research of his own, i was an asshole.

From the moment he posted i realized he was a lazy TOOL.
If we can discourage one more " I don't know anything about Hondas (or cars for that matter), I am too lazy to read up, research and do my own info searching, but i have a Civic that i bought (or was given to me) and i wanna make it fast, cool and able to beat ANYTHING on the street, so what is the biggest/best motor i can cram into my car, what will i need to do it all and money is not an issue RICERS", then so be it.

wow. You deff need to spend some time reading and researching. You obviously have done neither on this site or others. Most people with heavy mods have put years of work into thier cars to get where thier at. I've seen the brokest of people with bad ass cars because they were commited to it. And if your ganna complain about how much it cost to do this or that, maybe car moding isn't for you[/b]
Well said!!

My generic advice to new civic owners (partially a repeat from the thread about the 95 ex that didn't pan out) --

Don't swap, don't even think about a swap, and don't waste money on an intake/exhaust or any other bolt ons for the d16. Your first three mods should be:

light wheels and sticky tires
GOOD suspension (springs and shocks) and a camber kit
good brake pads, maybe new rotors and stainless braided brake lines if it needs them.

These three things will make your car infinitely more fun to drive, much more fun that a stock swap with stock tires and stock suspension. Do these three things, learn your car, go to autocrosses and start saving money. after a year or so of driving around like this, you'll know whether you want to swap... you may decide that spending $3000 to run mid 14s is a waste of money, and you'd much rather enjoy autocrossing with a stock powerplant in the STX class, or you'd rather run 12s in a fox body or something.
[/b]
More Good advice!
