all saw was "hard swaps- 99-00 b16a2, 99-00 h22, f22, b16 sir1, b18a"
Where can i get good used/new motors and mounts for them... how high will it run me in $$$? Also, would a place like autozone or autoparts install it for me? if so, how much? if not, how much somewhere else?

How many times is this gonna be asked? People are lazy or just plain stupid. Here is some advice, open a book do some research. Jump online and read up and do some research of your own. All the questions you asked can be answered very simply if you just look it up.There are a ton of places to get the info you need, just is going to take a little digging , which is the whole point of online forums and the SEARCH button. What worries me the most is that you asked if Autozone will install it for you , which then leads me to believe you have more to worry about than what motor to get. |

fuck you.. i searched around looking for ways to swap an engine... found a few but figured id learn a lil something more here... also, i did look around these forums for a swap code (or whatever ya'll call them) but there are few i found here... and yes, i did search...
anyways, damn, this is gonna cost way more then i expected... if the car i have now wasn't a gift i would just look for a trade in and get something with a bigger stock engine... anyways thanks

My generic advice to new civic owners (partially a repeat from the thread about the 95 ex that didn't pan out) -- Don't swap, don't even think about a swap, and don't waste money on an intake/exhaust or any other bolt ons for the d16. Your first three mods should be: light wheels and sticky tires GOOD suspension (springs and shocks) and a camber kit good brake pads, maybe new rotors and stainless braided brake lines if it needs them. These three things will make your car infinitely more fun to drive, much more fun that a stock swap with stock tires and stock suspension. Do these three things, learn your car, go to autocrosses and start saving money. after a year or so of driving around like this, you'll know whether you want to swap... you may decide that spending $3000 to run mid 14s is a waste of money, and you'd much rather enjoy autocrossing with a stock powerplant in the STX class, or you'd rather run 12s in a fox body or something.
