Hey guys need your help again. My car jerks when Iam driving like the clutch is being pushed down when its not. Pretty sure this is my clutch that is going. Anyways I did a quick search online and found a clutch kit from Exedy for under $200 bucks. Is this brand any good, what can I expect to pay for the install (98 honda civic ex).

I had an exedy stage 1 racing clutch and I liked it...definately a good brand to go with! What exact clutch is it that they're selling for 200? As for labor it really depends on how much they charge for an hourly fee! I know it shouldn't take more then a couple hours to drop the tranny etc! Oh and make sure they check your flywheel...I know mine had to be resurfaced when I had my clutch installed!

Just did some more research, not sure if it really my clutch. Here is what happens, car starts to jerk like the engine is having a hard time or slipping, but the rpms dont rise from what I can tell. I would think that the rpm would rise with a slipping clutch but it stays around the same. I know that around 80-90k is a major maintianace time, do you think its a belt or something that is slipping. I bought some fuel injector cleaner as well, maybe its dirty injecters. I dont know what do you guys think?
BTW the clutcht that I am looking at is this one: http://replacement.speedyperformanceparts....rl=null&dp=t rue Top one $200 bucks, I think this is all I would need as far as parts go. |

I was thinking maybe a fuel problem as well, will the fuel treatment I bought help this?
If I take it to my friends shop and have him hook up that computer thing would it tell if one of the sensors is bad etc.? |
