civic shopping,..da test drive..

Hi,
just lookin' fo some ideas,

I got my eye on buying a '92 CX hatchback 128k miles

its got all the options I want, crank windows, stick , NO power steering....

had my mechanic look at it, they thought it looked real good,...when driving it back from the mech. shop, I accelerated hard and saw some exhaust smoke in the rear view mirror,...
the shop said they never saw any smoke when they looked at it,..it doesnt do it all the time,

the dealer will only come down to $3600 , but , I keep going back to this car because its the cleanest little hatch ive seen


with the occational bit of smoke,..should I steer clear of this car ??

i wouldnt. Are you planning on swapping at all?? $3600 from a dealer is pretty good concerning mileage
