Hey all,
I just bought a 98 DX hatchback with an automatic transmission. How much of a bitch would it be to drop in a 5 speed ? Anyone done this ? Thanx, Lion |

![]() Now that that's said ![]() I'll answer your question . . . In order to do an auto to manual tranny swap you will need the following: d-series transmision, 1/2 shafts (axles), shifter and assembaly, shift linkages, ECU, manual pedal cluster, and either a clutch cable or master cylender setup. I'm like 90% sure that this is correct but the other 10% will most def. be answered when some one else on here picks up. I had a friend do this in his Jetta and I halped out here and there. It's a pretty in deapth swap so be prepared and good luck to you if you decide to try it. I hope you like what you see on CL so far . . it only gets better from here. Enjoy and hope to hear a lot more from ya soon! ![]() Sam - |
