Alright everyone, just thought I'd introduce myself and let you know a little bit about my background and me.
My name is Phil and I'm 20 years old. The lude I currently own is my second one, and is a 1999 Type SH opposed to my old 1999 Base. I bought my new car in December of 2001 from someone who had done the motor work, and turbo kit on the car already. I brought the car home and sadly enough found many problems, #1 being the engine build that was done, was not done properly. I loved the car so much I decided to fix it instead of going after the previous owner.
I took the car to a shop in Fort Collins Colorado to perform the nessesary repairs which included New Pistons, Rods, Crank, Turbocharger, Bearings, and Re-Wiring of everything. They had the car for about 6 months re-building this beast to be eone of the most potent street driven preludes ever. I brought the car back home and was immediately pleased with the quality of work, and how well the car was running. I put about 1500 miles on the car breaking it in, and headed to the race track. During time trials on my first run we had a problem, the car took off like a bat out of hell but when I hit 3rd gear I had no power....turns out we melted a piston, Bent the crankshaft, and injured some rods...This setup we were running at the time was making 328 WHP @ 9 PSI of boost.
Once again I took the car in to the shop to find out my Standalone Fuel Man. system fried causing the car to run extremely lean in just a few seconds burned it up. This time we went all out, nothing was left unchanged except the Intercooler Piping and the Intercooler from the old motor. This was in the shop for 11 months this time around, and while I was dissapointed it took so long the car is running incredible. Aside from building the bottem end from the ground up, we changed the Fuel Management to F.A.S.T. Fuel Air Spark Technology, and the car runs like stock at idle, which is simply amazing.
A couple weeks ago I took it down to dyno the new motor, and do some tuning. We made about 285 WHP @ 4-5 PSI. Incredible power! We then wanted to do some tuning on the high end because I wanted to hit the track that night. We jumped the boost up to 18 PSI, and with no tuning made 320 WHP, filling the shop up with black smoke from running so rich. On the second pull, unfortunately we had a head gasket blow. I wasn't thinking and never replaced the head studs with ARP's, and the stock bolts just wern't strong enough. The coolant leaked down into one of the cylinders and cracked the piston. Well unfortunately again the pistons are custom made from Aries, do to the bore size and take 3-4 weeks to be made.
The piston has just shown up, so hopefully the car will be done this week with the new gasket, headbolts, and piston. Unfortunately I owe a lot of people a lot of money because of this car, and I can no longer afford to keep it. I am now in the market for a Ford Lightning, and am sure will catch a lot of crap about fords being peices of shit, and everything else, but I've done my research about these trucks and realize this is truly what I want. The car will be going up for sale for $23,000 with reciets this year totalling more than $32,000. Unfortunately I can no longer afford to feed my craving. Toyz-B-Us is one of my best friends, and I also work with him. TrboH22 was my name on the old site.

Here are some pics of my car:

welcome back to the "new" civicland. You make me feel a lot better on how much money I put into my car. But I havent done any performance (engine, turbo, etc) so of course the bills havent added up too bad yet... good luck w/ selling your car.

Ford ... but my new neighbor has a red one... it's a very nice truck.

sounds like a pretty sweet lude. you should at least keep it for a while after everything gets fixed and have some fun w/ it. otherwise it'd be a waste of all that money.

and lightnings are nice trucks. fast as hell for a truck too.

Thanks everyone. I love my car, but can't afford to put gas in the thing let alone do the rest of the things I want to do, and keep fixing things when they break.
