Just wanted to say hi. My name is James and I have a 2000 Si, as you can tell by my name. It's got a little under 60 thousand miles on it and runs like a champ.

Right now, like a lot of people, I'm broke as hell... but later on I plan on some minor bolt ons for my car and eventually want to swap for a built up all motor LS/VTEC setup.

Right now all I have on the car is a CAI and grinding rear brakes, a tune up and oil change are coming right after i get my brakes fixed.

Good to be here, heard about this place through Calesta (mike) and thought I'd sign up with the hope to learn more from a different group of Honda enthusiasts.

Here's my little reliable piece of Honda engineering:

B16s are good engines, but (as much as I hate to say this) there's no replacement for displacement. b16s just lack the torque without being bored over, so I might as well just start with a b18.

I'm going to get an obd2 b18b block, bore it .5mm over with IB spec gsr 81.5 mm 12.5:1 pistons, I beam rods and slap a b16 head with skunk2 s2 cams, PnP, full bolt ons, etc.

I'm from NE indiana.

Welcome to the site man, I hope you stick around.

On another note, have you ever though about buying a gsr block and building it? I'm not bashing the ls/vtec at all in fact I'm picking up my car this weekend with a ls/vtec swap. From what I've seen it's more expensive and more trouble some to build a ls/vtec right than most people have patience/money for. I just thought I'd give you something to think about. IMO Ls/v owns, it's unique and seems to put down more whp when built up right.
