my son was a civicland member. he had a 2000 black si until a few months ago. he had installed an excellent alpine system, had installed fog lights, a viper system, an elaborate suspension system, and cold air intake. of course he had lots more planned for that beautiful car. the car was stolen. he was devastated. we found a 1992 black hatch si in atlanta and purchased that. we planned on making that the ultimate. if any of you members may be able to recognize him from my description i would appreciate you contacting me. my son passed away recently and now we have his memories and the si. he had written an extensive plan for the si including all of the engine and body modifications. while i did some customizing of cars when i was younger, the new cars are so much more advanced and i will probably need some help, but i intend on making all of the modifications to that car my son had planned. i have a steep learning curve with respect to using this forum and working on the car. thanks for any help you can provide.

it sounds more like it is ment as the K24a2 swap that he was wanting. that motor is out of the acura tsx. at this time, there is not much in the way of tuning capabilities for a lot of power with that motor and the k20a2 out of the 02-04 rsx type-s will offer more in the ways of availability and future upgrades. there is, however, a few people who are doing this same motor build taking the k24 block from accords and crv's and matching the k20a2 head to them. i am not sure what the constraints on the engine compartment are, but turbos and superchargers work well with that motor also. check out some wbsites such as; i-vtec.net, k-series.com, clubrsx.com, and also k20a.org. there is a lot of information on those sites about the k-series engines. the engine is only a few years old, so a lot of parts are still harder to find than what they are for the b-series motors.
they order in wich you decide to go is up to you. i would start with brakes and suspension that will alow you to give good handling and stopping power to the increased power of the motor. other than that, most of the other things sounded more like dress up. painting the engine compartment before the engine is in is easier, but i would usually paint everything else later. good luck, and i will try to help you out as much as possible.
