I know s-video is beter than the normal RCA but is it better then a componet hook up?

When you say component hookups are you talking about digital coaxial? Looks like an RCA jack, but calls for a digital cable? Usually it's labeled in orange. If so than you have your info right.

The S-Video and digital coaxial are pretty similar in quality though.

No i'm not talking about a digital or an optical line. The wires them selves are RCA but there are a total of 5. 2 (white)(red)for audio then 3 (Green)(blue)(red) for the video

Ok i just got the run down and ordered $250 of all new wires.

PS2 = Digital optic line for audio, Component wires for video
DVD = Digital coax for audio, componet wires for video
Gamecube = Compenet wires for Video and audio
Xbox = VPORT wires
DVD = Digital optical line for audio, Component wires for video
TV = Digital coax for audio.

All that for only $250 was a great price. And wait to get them and hook it all up.

hmm, sounds high to me but i've never really priced all of that. our entertainment center at my parents has all monster cable but we get it at cost.

I wish i got everythign at cost. I only get a 35 % off my electronics.

DVD = Digital optical line for audio 29.99 , Component wires for video 49.99
TV = Digital coax for audio 39.99.

But i'll be in my glory seting all this up and finally finishing my A/V set up for my house. Great sound and better picture, And everything is monster cables and the optical lines are moster lightwave.
