I have had att, verizon, cingular, and now I am on sprint! DO NOT go with att... they suck... Keep with sprint... I got the sanyo 5100 camera phone ...

ha ha I had ATT and man do they really suck.

also:
Cingular wireless foremerlt houston cellular BLOWS
Sprint: BLOWS
(Hell even my curretn carrier)
TMOBILE: BLOWS!!
The best answer get an anwering machine, if people need to reach you that bad then they can leave a message. IMO

still keepin' my cell though....gotta have it for the wife :\

The thing that people need to understand is that a company may suck in one area and be much stronger in another. In DFW sprint and ATT are at the top. also Singular is looking to merge with ATT next year and that will strengthen the coverage here. I have several friends on ATT and they have had 0 problems with them. Of all the friends that I have with sprint keep telling me about issues with the services. Either way I have 30 days to change my mind

I think you mean 8100 right? There is not 5100 camera phone.

Well I cancelled my order with ATT. I spent last Wed a total of about 5 horus on the phone trying to find out what was going on with my order. Tuesday I was told my order would be here on wed, and then wed was told nope not shipped yet cause the porting has not completed. I finally get to someone in the web sales cust serv(which btw people has a minimum hold of 2.5 hours) and they tell me that ATT would require an initial deposit to activate my acct. I was like WTF and asked how much and they said $800. At that point I said how in the hell, I have two seperate accts with sprint, and ATT wants freaking $800 to open an acct. I told them to F off and cancel my order and stayed with sprint. The story followign is the final part to a 1 month ordeal with sprint trying to get an upgrade(basically why I considered switching in the first place)

Well I went to the Sprint store AGAIN on Friday. I got there at 11 am, and there was a pretty decent sized line for the service side. I needed to have my N400 checked out since it was automatically ending calls(not dropping due to signal fadeing) SO after 35 min I finally get upto a person, tell her the issues and they say ok we will test it. I told her that if there was a problem with it, I would like some options on what else it can be replaced with since this was the 7th time it was being replaced. After another 20 min my phone comes up and yep there is a problem. So a different guy grabs it and goes to their inventory and gets me a refurb N400. I asked him if there was soemthing else that I could get into, even with paying extra(even if it was a refurb) He plain otu and out said NO. I said fine, he does all the swap over and I then I have to have my phone book transferred. So another 15 min goes by for that. I finally get my refurb N400 and start walking out. I try to jump onto vision andnothing, damn thing won't even connect(no arrows at all) I go back in, then he proceeds to tell me that vision is DOWN(meaning not working at all) which was kinda interesting since the guy in line with me was playing with his vision in line. I say ok whatever and walk back out and try to call a friend and get the message "Your phone is not activated yet" I am like WTF??? So I walk back in and get back in line(mind you I am now at an hour and fourty min at the store) and tell him that my phoen is not active. He again tells me some BS that it will take 2-4 hours to activate(at the exact time he mentioned that a guy in the counter next to me was doing the same swap--broken n400 into a refurb N400--and the lady even called his cell phone to make sure it was active) At this point I get highly aggrevated and ask for the manager. She comes up and I proceed to tell her my issues. She then tells me the same BS that he did that it will take 204 hours to activate(even though a guy who had been there 30 mins walks out with an active phone and I am wlakign out with a completely inactive phone) I tell her that unfortunately that was not good enough. So she proceeds to make a test call to check and low and behold that NONE of the number buttons even work on the "new" N400(mind you this is the replacement they jsut gave me) So, she walks into the back and comes back with a BRAND new A500 and tells the lady that since I was having such difficulty that they were goign to upgrade me to that. I then asked her what do I do with my holster for the N400 and she even swapped that out for an A500 holster.

I am finally rid of my N400 and have the a500 to paly with(whihc IMO is SOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO much better and seems to have a better screen for some reason.) Now time to save up for a 5500(and the dude over in sales was like yeah we are selling this phone right now for $499--which made me cringe thinking a) he is trying to boost his profit or b) spritn knows it is a popular phone and is jacking up the price). Well I am now content--Not satisfied but content--satisfied would ahve been a camera phone.

OK I didnt read all of that, but it is good that you didnt go w/ ATT. Dude they have to be the WORST MF-ers ever. I have has cingular, verizon & nextel, and now have ATT. Nextel is the best by far, and I should have stayed with them (I got rid of it since I didnt need direct connect anymore). Dude my boy works for ATT Wireless, so he was like yeah I can hook you up. Waived my deposit & activation, gave me a bomb ass plan. So my first & second bill were cool, (May & June), my plan is 39.99/mo. Well July, my bill was $133.00. I was like WTF. Well they charge for "Data Storage" at .02/kb, which isnt much, but you dont have to actually store/download anything. You just get on Mmode and you get charged for usage (and I pay 3.99/mo. to do this anyway!) THEN- I go to VA Tech for the weekend (which is in my coverage area- no roaming) an I get charged $33.00 for 47 min of calls. BS if you ask me. And I can be inside a restaurant or a mall, and if I dont get coverage, my service switches to Tmobile, whilh is then .69/min. I CANT WAIT til next may when I can switch back to nextel!!!! I may even just pay the $175 cancellation fee to disconnect, since my bills each month are about that much anyway!

ATT Wireless SUCKS!!!!!

Have the same plan with T-mobile but for 20 bucks and 2000 text messages. I personally dont like sprint but i had them long time ago when there service sucked and calls droped alot. may be better now

Not to burst your bubble but Ive had nextel sence they came out, for my work phone. They have always sucked. Ive also had every service for my personal phone : sprint, Tmobil, cingular, verison, ATT, Qwest, ect. ect. They all suck. It doent matter who you go through the service is crap (costomer service and coverage). No matter what they dont care about loosing costomers cause they all will have bussness even if you drop your service.
