Ok me and my dad was workin on the car, the day before we had done the ATF Treatment that helps restore compression in the chambers. Mine had no compression in the second chamber. Here?s the write up that I used, its pretty good reading, if ya got the time.
http://www.mazspeed.com/atf.htm Well you have to wait 24 Hours to let the tranny fluid do its job. So today after tryin to get it to start with one battery for like an hour with no luck, we try with a different one and and it fires right up but since I dont have a workin fuel pump or gas tank, the way we had a 5 gal gas can with a hose goin to the carb sitin on the fender of the car (mistake number one), it die, so we pored more gas in the carb. and straighten the hose goin to the carb so it would flow easier, try again the car back fired flames and we had a fire on the motor, we put that out, then get a longer hose and but the 5 gal. gas can on the roof, and tried it again, (mistake number 2 cause we should of quit then, but I had to see if the fire had messed up any of the wires), try again and it starts right up and stayed ranin, it was ranin 4 grand nicely, not think to much(about how the car had not ran for 4 years to take it easy on it) I punch it, it gets to 5 grand, BOOM, car dies, oil is poring on the ground, I?m like fuck. Well we take the car off the jacks pull it out of the garage, and start cleanin up the mess, oil all over the floor. Tom we'll pull it back in and see where the leak is, I?m hope it was one of the old oil lines, cause we looked it over and the oil pan and block looked fine, and most of the mess was where it goes to the oil cooler. We?ll pore some used oil in and see where it comes out. But the main thing is that it did run, I know that sounds lame but I had o bunch of ppl say it would never fire. That it had been sitin to long to run. But tom we'll till if it will ever run again. Don?t hate on me too much, I got excited. ![]()
