hks- the Xeon is just a P4 with a ton of cache on it. The FPU isn't any more powerful than the P4 running at similar speed.

and yes calesta is right on the money.
did a lot of reserch and my next big upgrade will be water.. just gotta buy enough to run all over what i have now lol lotta tuding. :-P[/b]
just reroute some piping from your bathroom. Turn on your faucet.. and youll have plenty of water. Just dont flush the toilet.

Bad idea!

Eric, I've got some leftover unused water cooling stuff that's actually really high quality if you're interested. I have enough water cooling stuff for 3 systems, but only 2 are water cooled. Let me know what you think. I can always take pictures for you if you want- there's a super beefy CPU block, video card block, motherboard chipset block, and a really good radiator too. All you would have to add would be the tubing and the pump/reservoir.

im gonna can my setup in an effort to make the system portable again. so i guess i will have an extra one here soon as well. you would just need tubing with mine as mine is cut to the lengths i needed for my case.

$300 and it's all yours- those 3 water blocks and radiator all cost me about $400, and they've never been used. I'll get pics of them later.

damn yo relax...just cause i'm interested dont mean i'm buying shit haha

CRX: A watercooled setup is basically using a radiator and a water pump to cool your CPU(the chip that runs your computer that can run very hot, especially when Overclocking), instead of the traditional fan + heatsync. For most applications its not necessary, unless like i mentioned you are overclocking your computer and need a reliable source for cooling the chip.

if you are interested in mine, pm me. all you would need would be tubing. i can get specs when i get home later today. i was thinking like 100 bucks. its not top of the line, but unless you are doing crazy shit, it will work fine.

I'll hit you up on IM later tonight with some pictures...

This water block is pretty hard core- it's all copper, and it has a sandwich plate for a Peltier element (or two) if you want to super cool the chip.
