Yes, and if they dont its wrong and immoral for you to keep that money. Give it back. Close thread now.

what the hell is wrong with you people, if the machine gave you that money, yes it will ask for it back because it keeps a record but anyway, If that were not the case I would def keep that . Who cares if he kept it? It would not effect anyone anyway. Thats why banks have insurance. and I am sure he did not have enough money to actually make a dent in the insurance policy anyway. Besides this is the real world, trying to act the moral way will just get you shafted in most cases these days, It's survival of the fittest in todays world, so unless the choice you make affects a person I would not worry about it. And Don't even try to tell me that what ever amnount of money he had would actually make a difference. Every year goverments tally up millions of dollars as "unaccounted for" But amazingly the economy does not suffer from this annual loss.

So if the bank does not ask for the money back, which is highly unlikely, keep it.

I just believe in karma. Try reporting it, who knows maybe they'll just tell you to keep it, and say it was thier mistake. I know I wouldnt have a clear consience If I jacked that much money from an ATM.

this very well may be true In certain aspects, but I was merely stating my opinion. Some of you may have no problem with taking extra money from an ATM, robbing the blind or hit and runs, I sure as hell have a problem with it tho, so as I was saying...PERSONALLY I would give the money back to the bank, Why I say this you ask? WEll think of it this way.. what if the bank made a mistake and it was drawing money out of your account as well as some innocent bank customer who had a similar account number, and when he goes to pay his bills, he gets denied and get a mark on his credit record... How would you feel then?? See when people get "free money" like this they dont think of the innocent victims. So for the ADD crew here...just give the money back and see what happens... the worst that will happen is that the bank will thank you and kindly place that money from where it came.

how are they shafting you?? I dont know about the UK but here in the US interest rates are what make the economy work. You make money to spend money and when you spend money on interest the economy gets stronger and we get to live life w/o poverty...(for the most part)

Dont get me wrong now, I'm not tryin to pick a fight here or anything i'm just trying to understand your logic behind your actions.
