I got my newer computer back up and running...and i wanna put XP on it, and i have a cd of it, used from our last comp and now its telling me i cant reg it because it was already regd. Now is there any way i can by pass this activation feature or does someone know where i can download XP pro with the bypass on it or something? help me out guys...

i don't believe you can bypass it. you can't dl xp pro, but if you find someone with it, borrow the cd. i'd help you out, but i borrowed the cd from someone.

windows 2000>XP, me, SE. Go with w2000 it is more reliable.

Dude... ive got XP pro... let me tell you something. Im doing everything in my powers to get rid of it. It sucks. And worst of all... it looks ghey. I changed everything back to the "classic" look (the ONLY cool feature on HexP) Listen to everyone else.. stay away from it. And as for the code you need... i used the same one like 6 other people used... and it let me install it.
OMFG.. and let me warn you... there are a million popups that come with XP. And if you have more then one user account on your comp.. both people get the popups. Except not until they log on.. so if your on the comp for a few hours.. online... then that next person will have a good 30 (literally) popups to click through. Grrr that pisses me off!! ![]() |

Fark that....I like XP pro on my laptop....might even reformat that and put this version of 2000 pro im running....I took erics advice and used 2000 Pro....very good desicion i must say..
