I hae about 1 hr of footage from the meet and i'm trying to find a place that can put it ontoa CD in AVI format, Most of it's just shit and giggles, " What is this homemade porn" "God damnit bobby shut up" Currently it's on an 8mm tape. Anyone know were i can get this done?

get a Dazzle DVC-80, I think they are like 40 bucks from radioshack. I have one at home, I'll check the model number for you.

my sony 8mm has a firewire connection (i.link) that i can plug into my firewire port on my pc to capture video. you might check and see if you have it as well.
i also have a pinnacle pctv card on my desktop for importing video from an RCA. |

We checked his camcorder out there and it doesn't have a Firewire out so that why he is asking about other ways.

you should be able to find a company that will convert your tape online for under $20. i think you just mail the physical tape to them and mail a cd and your tape back. try googling "8mm conversion"
