let me get this straight, we have civic guys criticizing a car by saying "everyone has a 3 series"???
bmw only makes up 1.4% of the cars/suvs sold in the US. also, i wouldn't call any car w/ a $30,000+ MSRP inexpensive whether it's a bmw or s2000. but then again, maybe you guys are like ultra rich or something. the best thing about a 3 series is you get what you pay for. i'm not so sure you can say that about the 5 and 7 series. that's probably why you don't see that many of them. also, they are obviously more expensive which means less people can afford them. its the same reason you see one s2000 for like every 30 civics. the 3 series is in the lower tier of bmw but it's a better car than 95% of the other cars on the road today IMO. |

and we're all not civic guys we do have people that drive other vehicles lol (me being one and my suv cost just as much as that 3 series *acutally more*)
just saying IMO i wouldn't spend 30k on a 3 series (a used one at that) i can find a good amount of cars that less people in the same bracket are looking to buy. (ie. volvo saab etc) every soccer mom has a 3 series this isn't a knock and im sure explains what me and synergy see.. we live in Dc metro area and New York city.. 98% of every bmw we see is a 3 series.. just get tired of seeing the things.. but im just a civic driver (who loves hurting jr. exec's feelings when they try to pimp their 3) |

45% 3 series 15% X3/X5 15% 5 series 10% 7 series 10% Z3/Z4 4.5% M3/M5 .5% 6 series (for the one 645ci i know of in town) it's nothing close to 98% around here. |

not to high jack jens thead too much but this will be my next purchase.
![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() But back to the BMW thing. Honestly i see more 3 series then civics in my area. They are everywere. As a matter of fact i have 3 civics parked outside my office and 7, 3 series. I would just rather buy a Evo or STi with the 30K, Shit even a used S40 volvo. Don't get me wrong the 3 is an OK car, It;s just not a 30,000-40,000 car IMO. |

wow, disagreements anyone? im not going out there spending 30k let alone on a used 3 series its just something i was looking at. WHEN i am able to get another car, a car with 4 doors, a more family oriented car SUCH AS a bimmer (hehehe) i will, but right now i have a civic and a jeep to tide me over, and right now i need to stack up some money to put down on a house, lower tier or not i don't see a lot of BMW's riding around maybe because i live tucked away in a small town but here and in miami i definately did not see a lot of bimmers, i DID see a lot of stangs, civics and integras, so maybe here that ratio is smaller, dunno.btw i like the car your thinking of getting
