New Position...maybe

Ok so as some of you may know i work in the IT department of TexasChildrens hospital, in Housotn Texas.

well my boss caught the head weeknight in a compromising situation, and for the look of things he was doing it most of the night as things did not get done. Supposedly things happened this morning at 7:30am after everyone and their mom had seen him though the huge glass window that separates the Computer room; So being that this is the second time this has happened.. they fired him.

now, Im not happy for the man at all, im sure this has put him in a bad situation but he essentially looked for it, so good luck to him...

My Brother called me and told me that they may be wanting to talk to me about taking that spot, at this point this is all I know, but the chance is there...So here is my dilemma:

I will be working Everyother Sunday and every Monday, Tuesday and Wednesday, which is fine with me but I would be missing out on my weekend differential, and its quite nice chunk of money IMO, I would be possibly taking the top spot as the head guy during the weeknight but I dont even know if I will be titled the head guy or not, if this is not the case I doubt I would be getting a raise.

On top of all that, this means even less time with my wife, which has become a big issue as of late (for me), things are not that great and personally, I think this would hurt us more then help us, at the same time i dont want to pass up something that would yield me more money (if it indeed does), I am worried about this last issue the most.

I will probably not find anything out until tomorrow in the am at which point my boss will ask me to make a decision...if he doesnt pull some shit and tell me that I have to do this or I go...


Cliffs:
--Opportunity for a new job.
--MAYBE a raise
--Every other Sunday, Monday, Tuesday and Wednesday night
--I would be loosing out on weekend diffeential @ $2/Hr
--Less time with the wife = maybe more trouble for este and wife= not good.

Thats a tough call at first...I would see if in fact the do offer you the job and what the benefits would be first then weight them over a little bit more.

doesn't seem like a tough call to me.. you need to make things right with your wife.

if it's not offering more money dont take it.. if you HAVE to take it, take it long enough to find a new job.. your a grad now and cough i've seen your work you can find a job else where im sure..

yeah... I want plannign on looking for a job on my field just yet... but it may go down to that.

yeah, im working on making things better for us...
we will see what happens I have to deal with this job thing tomorrow in the am. and see what happens after that.
