Hi everyone, I dunno if any of you remember me, but I joined CL a long time ago. I liked it till the forums changed and all the posts were lost, and like 1000 members left. I went to Honda-tech and have been there ever since. I visited CL a few times, but it seemed like the same people that plagued all the other forums were on CL too.. the snobby JAYDEEEM Y0! rice-hating close minded... etc you get my point.
Honda-tech was full of them, but I stayed because there were tons of members and I thought I could get some help. I was browsing CL today, and noticed that someone was asking about underbody neons. I immediately thought, oh god help this poor fool, he is going to get reamed by these people. However, to my surprise, there was not ONE negative post in the entire thread. Helpful descriptions, pictures, and thanks were pretty much all I saw. This is fuckin' awesome, and what I have been looking for since the original CL died. I don't personally have neons or anything, but I really want to be a part of a community where the members are here for what the forum was meant for: to help eachother in all aspects of modding there beloved civics. It's my opinion that everyone's car is their own, and that if someone wants to put a 5-layered aluminum spoiler on their car, then that's their call... it's their car. If someone wants to keep their car completely stock except for a turbo-charged k20 swap to be the ultimate sleeper, then that is fine too, its their call. I am pleased to see that I think most of CL if not all agrees on this point. I am done with H-T, and will be coming back to CL for good. Thank you civicland for providing a friendly environment in which to discuss our civics, without fear of being insulted for no reason. ![]() |
