Just Got The Ride Outta The Shop.....

put my car in the shop on monday and added some goodies to my d16.....

skunk 2 intake manifold
venom injectors
aem fuel rail
switched from a aem cai to a short ram
b&m fuel pressure regulator
venom cam gear....

went from a mind blowing 96 hp to 110.5@ 6700 rpm... good stuff. its so much fun to drive, but not to shabby for a lil single shooter....

other mods include
act flywheel
act stage 2clutch
exhaust
dc header
msd sci igniton
tein ss coilovers
skunk 2 camber kit
nuespeed strut tie bar
nuespeed rear strut tower bar
leather seats out of a special edition ls
rota n series rims

thats alot for only 16 horsepower. especially that high in the RPM range

nah.. its all good after owning a dx I have much respect for the D series engines.
once you get into good mods the car becomes a fun thing to drive.

and this si coming from a guy who owned a sedan so im sure your coupe is much better

i paid under a grand for all the parts ..... except the cam sprocket, i have had that for a little while.

i prolly spent almost 2 hours on the dyno getting it tuned properly. but the way i see it is 15 hp for under a grand... thats over a 15% increace in hp, and thats not shabby for a d series

the other nice thing is that my car sounds sooo much meaner issed:" class="inlineimg" /> issed:" class="inlineimg" /> now... when the vtec engages, the engine becomes really loud and throaty.

i love my lil d16. its only got 78000 miles on it, and its 500 dollars away from being paid off 4 months early.... so i figured i would just have fun tuning a d16 instead of swappin, plus if i swapped i would just be another 3 grand in the hole.....
