Ok I unfortunately do not remember the actors in this movie but some of the plot I do.
The moive stars 4 comedic aliens that catch a broadcast of war of the worlds and think that an invasion has started. I remember their ship being broken and them trying to take off but it kept falling back to earth every few hundred feet. Also I remember towards the end of the movie they were going to blow the earth up using the destrcuto ring and when they pressed the button the thing fell apart. I have been searching for the title of this movie for almost two days and am now asking for OT's help.

oooohhhh!!??? You mean the early episodes of Star Trek? With William Shatner? Yeah, they had ghey props that were cheesy and fell apart
