I dont know but for me it seems I have the worst luck from Oct all the way thru april with my car.

Im using a Autolock, 2 clubs (1 on wheel, other between tranny and e-brake), Viper VX 790 paging alarm and a electrical kill(which i cant use because of the alarm, a car cover. I know i will never be completely protected from it being stolen, however I was thinking us CL members can give some tricks of the trade Ideas to help one another out. Tell us what you are using to prevent it, or share what else we can do to try and prevent it.

I want more protection! - someone took my car cover off my car 2 nights ago and I cant stop thinking about this shit.

park in a garage I remember putting duct tape on my mountain bike (on all the joints)in hopes that no one would steal it because it looked to broken down. Not sure if you could apply that to your car or not.

haha kia car cover commercial... nah im ok no duct tape on the ride. My dads beamer is in the garage, M5 replica .

so you protect a mountain bike but not your car!! We really need to sit down and chat about the feeling of your heart dropping to your feet looking and not seeing your ride where you left it last.

You probably want your civic jacked so you get payed out for the Sti you want!

types right..? Gas cutout, and satellite.. Not a bad Idea. Satellite aint worth a shit if they get while Im sleeping. By the time I get up it would look like a dried up bug on the floor.

I found the best security is to use common sense, and be smart about what people can see through your windows. I have had several cars broken into and even one completly stolen. The times I had problems is when I had no alarm, left the face on, radar detector left out, not using lock nuts on rims, subs not covered, etc. etc. Park your car at the end or begining of the parking lot where it can easily be seen by people walking/driving by.

If your looking for something more than that I would suggest two seperate cut off switches. One for the fuel and one for the starter. Place them in different parts of the car. Or try having a seperate horn placed inside the car under the dash, make em go deaf for wanting your car.

I would if i were your is to take your ecu with you. I know people that actually do. Like at night they take it with them into the house. They have it so it is easily removable. And if someone is going to steal a car they are not gonna bring a spare ecu with them. And lacuna i sent you a pm. Also put superglue onthe screw that hold your actual starter switch. There is 2 of them. And if someone wants to steak your car then they could unscrew your starter switch and manually start it. But that is just another suggestion.

both good ideas. I like the one making them go deaf... Thats a good one. I actually do keep my car out in the open and suffered the same exact thefts as you. faceplate, radar in window and 1 car stolen. Ive learned lil things along the way but how would I go about hooking up a second siren.. I have an extra alarm by codealarm I think that im not going to use... would I have a backup battery installed and have this connected to the back up.... ?
