straight cut gears sounds like a honda in reverse, but shifting gears without the clutch is freakin awesome. plus those trannies are bulletproof

that's because it is a straight cut gear.

i've never been in a car w/ straight cut forward gears but i know i couldn't handle it too long. of course, on a track under a helmet passing people i probably wouldn't even care.

yea apparently straight cut gears last longer and put more power to the ground...only downfall is that they are loud as fuck.

I've seen this before, I like how every time he up-shifts, the pitch gets higher, almost like he's down-shifting. That's some crazy shit. They get so close to each other. I was waiting for him to crash into someone. Hardcore.

I don't care how much better it is, I wouldn't be able to stand it. Unless I was getting paid for it there is now way you could get me to drive one of those. Even the video was enough to drive me crazy.

well think about it, the gears are straight which means they are shorter in length and they can be enlarged, vs helical which is a very long and skinny weak metal. They would put them in mainstream cars, but helical just doesnt make as much noise as spur cut gears.
