i went to the dominican republic like 4 years ago and that was pretty cool. the resort wasnt really all it was cracked up to be tho. 2 years ago i went to turks and cacos island and that was fucking incredible. not only was the water crystal clear, the beaches were beautiful,there was lots to do, the ppl were great and it was overall one of the best vacas ive ever been on. if you wanna go caribeean go to turks and cacos, well worth the money.

september is about the cheapest time to go but you are definately in hurricane season. you can buy weather guarantees but that might offset the savings.

my parents have been to about half of the islands in the carribean and they really like st. thomas. my dad likes puerto rico a lot but that is because he lived there for like 6 years when he was kid.

europe isn't as expensive as people think. tentitively i'm looking at going to paris next march and ther are deals out there for 500-800 per person. i'm hoping to plan it right so i coulod meet up with some clients while i'm there and make it into a business trip haha.
