So being art school a lot of the time you get to play around with fun ideas and works...well in one of my drawing classes we had to do a self portrait but do something that was us and not just drawing out a portrait. But something to really have fun with.
Well I wanted to do something that was based of Andy Warhol's work something fun but still showed some emotion in it. So here it is: ![]() First if you never seen any of Andy Warhol's works you most likely won't get it. But I had a blast doing this. I had to draw the portrait of my self in pencil, then ink it. After that I scanned it into the computer and vectized it and finally colored it in Illustrator. The final peice is 24" x 24" printed. It took me some time to draw it because the look I wanted was it's 3am and I'm still up working on art projects...something every art student has gone through. I was really happy with the way it came out and wanted to share it. |

yeah I did one very simmilar to that. I definitly understand the all nighters that art students pull! Glad to know you had fun doing it. Nothing Sucks more than doing an art piece you have no intrest in and is not fun. Except a job you hate! LOL

i really didn't pull a lot of all nighters until i got into my upper level classes. i had a typography class that i literally did 30 hours of homework in it every week. it is weird how much good design students spend doing their homework. sometimes i think i could have acquired an MBA with less effort.
