Windows screwed up my iPod! Now I have to sent it bad to apple to get fixed or replaced...lets hope just replaced.

And this is how it happened:

I was updating the songs on my iPod because I had just downloaded some new ones and import more old MP3 files into iTunes. I ran the update for the iPod so the new music would be on it. Well I just left it connected to the computer and charging it. Well then my anti-virus kicked on that I had updates to download so I did that. Then I need to reboot my computer to finish the new update. Well I restarted it with my iPod still connected and then left the room to do something. I come back and Windows in is running Scandisk on the iPod and trying to fix errors in on the drive. Well it F'ed up the disk drive on the iPod...basically made to were it would play all the music on in fine...but it I connected it to the computer to update or charge it the whole computer would lock up. I tried to restore the iPod and then just reload all my music but good old windows won't let me do that basic I guess it thought it was a bad idea. So after talking to Apple for 30 minutes they said they would fix or just replace my iPod for me.

This reason just tops my list way I would like to get a Mac....don't have to deal with Windows.

in closing Windows can suck my balls because now I'm without my iPod for 10 to 15 days.

macs and pcs are like car brands. they all have something wrong w/ them. you just have to decide what you want to put up with.

i'm not a huge mac hater, my problem is more w/ the people that use them

is there anywhere that warns you not to perform tasks like that while your iPod is connected to the PC.. or is it just one of those things no one really anticipated? And atleast theyre replacing/fixing it for you.
