I think it's all pretty badass. The 2006 model doesn't look like the ugly Euro hatch that we all saw a few months ago, and the technical specs look very promising at this point. The new SOHC iVTEC engine has the same power/torque specs as the old B18B, it has bore/stroke dimensions almost identical to the B18C, and according to Honda- the block design is supposed to be much stiffer than the old block... which means it's probably a design related to the K block (if it's not a K block)- which means that it will hold power mods (especially turbos) very well. Timing chain (no belt) = more reliable high revving too.

Honda will never be on the right track until they put out a stock boosted 230+ hp sedan.

If honda ever released a turbo Civic or RSX the world would come to an end and people would be getting shot for parts i swear

However the new civic... I like the direction theyve taken with it.. Very nice.. at 140 hp im just wondering how heavy it is.

Hondas arent concerned about hp figures if they were, they would produce a fully tuned spoon sports model from the get go. but they dont. they are more concerned about keeping the air clean and hugging some trees.

I hate the car, the motor isnt gonna matter cause the car is going to weigh a billion pounds and it looks like poop. the only thing i really like is the center mounted tach.

they do have a stock 230+ horsepower sedan, its called the TL(which i might say is the best car i have ever driven) . and the reason they dont care about horsepower and do care about emissions and MPG is the same reason that everything from the RSX up are called Acuras in america, MONEY (marketing).

Any fuckin company wants to make money, and people want to buy cars with high MPGs, low emissions (that also please the government and people called tree-huggers) and last forever. thats what honda is all about, making the perfect consumer vehicle...not conforming to a bunch of power crazy idiots in an online forum.

btw - remember horsepower figures are a bit different with new SAE bullshit, thought not much

alright so, whos gonna bitch at me first?
